How RetireHub Content Is Made

RetireHub publishes daily newsletters and articles for American retirees. This page explains how that content gets made, so you know exactly what you’re reading.

Sourcing Standards

  • Health and money claims must have a source. When we cite a study, a rule change, or a statistic, it comes from the underlying research, government publications (IRS, SSA, CMS), or reporting from established outlets — not from memory or speculation.
  • Dates and dollar figures are verified against current-year rules. Tax thresholds, Medicare premiums, and Social Security figures change annually; we check them against the current year before publishing.
  • We do not invent people, quotes, or anecdotes. Reader stories are published only when a real reader submitted them, and are labeled as reader submissions.

How Articles Are Produced

RetireHub uses modern research and drafting tools, including AI assistance, to produce daily content at the pace our readers expect. Every article passes automated quality gates that check sourcing, completeness, and accuracy patterns before publication, and the publication is overseen by our founder and editor, Jay Flaherty. When a piece fails those checks, it doesn’t go out.

Independence

  • Product picks are chosen on merit. Some product links earn us a commission (including Amazon affiliate links); this never determines what we recommend, and articles with affiliate links carry a disclosure.
  • Ads and sponsorships are labeled. Sponsored placements in our newsletters are marked as such and are separate from editorial recommendations.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrections to published articles are made directly on the page. If you spot an error, email jay@retirehub.org — corrections from readers are genuinely welcome and are typically addressed within a business day.

Not Professional Advice

RetireHub content is educational. It is not personalized financial, legal, tax, or medical advice. For decisions about your money or your health, consult a licensed professional who knows your situation.
